Sunshine Learning Miami Bright Minds Program

The purpose of our Bright Minds program is to promote inclusion. This program is designed to provide behavioral and educational services through the practice of ABA for children with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other developmental disabilities. In order to provide an enriched environment for our kids, we customize curriculums for them and teach in a 4:1 ratio setting. That is, only 4 students per 1 specialized teacher. The customization for each child incorporates a plan that increases skill acquisition while working on behavior reduction. We do this through behavioral principles found in ABA that incorporates reinforcement and motivation along with errorless teaching and many other procedures that will lead your child to have a successful learning experience. This will be used when teaching your child their individualized goals. We work to improve both social/communication interactions along with academic skillsets. We believe in the importance of inclusion and having the children mainstream and interact with the rest of the school during their elective courses and lunch periods. This promotes constant positive interactions. Beyond the academic, Bright Minds emphasizes the significance in aiding our kids to become more independent beings. We enforce this idea by offering a life skills class that teaches kids the skills needed for daily living in a way that can be generalized to the real-life environment.
